Fees for Opinions, Appraisals, and Expert Reports on Rugs, Textiles, and Tapestries
1 – Expert Opinion
Fee per individual item: €100.00.
If the client proceeds with an appraisal or expert report, this amount will be deducted as an advance payment.
2 – Appraisal
• Virtual Appraisal
A4 report including image, technical description, and current retail market value, based on images and information provided by the client.
Fee: €250.00
• In-Person Appraisal
Conducted at my studio in Morciano di Romagna (Rimini), Italy, with a written, signed, and stamped report.
Fee: €300.00
3 – Virtual Expertise (Valuation Report)
Based on images and client-provided information, including:
- detailed expert report,
- close-up images,
- extensive technical description (multiple A4 pages),
Suitable for:
- personal use,
- private sales,
- exchanges,
- insurance policies,
- amicable inheritance settlements.
Fee: from €400.00 to €600.00
(Unsigned expert report)
4 – Legal Expertise
Performed in person:
- at my studio in Morciano di Romagna (Rimini), or
- at the client’s premises.
Includes a signed and stamped expert report (expertise).
Fee: from €500.00 to €800.00 + expenses
5 – Online Publication
Publication of each appraised item on www.fayaz.it.
Fee: €200.00
6 – Sworn Expert Report
Sworn certification at the Court Registry on stamped paper, including oath, for:
- out-of-court expert reports,
- court-appointed expert reports.
Fee: €1,200.00 + expenses
Important Notice
For high-value rugs, tapestries, and textiles with an estimated market value exceeding €20,000, the expert fee is 2% of the value assessed by Expert Fayaz.
Travel Expenses
For on-site appraisals beyond 30 km from my office:
- €2.00 per km, calculated round trip.
Example:
100 km distance → 200 km round trip → €200.00 travel expenses.
For long-distance assignments in Italy or abroad, travel is preferably by train or airplane with hotel accommodation.
Transportation, meals, and lodging costs are borne by the client and documented by receipts.
An additional fee of €500.00 per working day on-site applies.
