Design & Decoration

The carpet presents a stylised floral composition with recurring motifs of four-, six- and eight-petalled flowers, branches, leaves, and naturalistic elements. The border is composed of five floral frames, enhancing the structure and symmetry of the design.

The field is richly decorated with seven repeated ornamental bands, consisting of two alternating decorative patterns that create rhythm and visual depth across the surface.

Signature

The signature is positioned at the upper centre of the field, close to the fringes, within a hazelnut-coloured rectangular cartouche. It is woven in white yarn outlined with light blue yarn and bears the Persian (Farsi) inscription: “Iran, Habibian, Nain”.
